Set up Traps

Setting up traps can help you know if you have more than one mouse and kill it at the same time. There are snap traps that are inexpensive and work well for this purpose. Purchase several of them and set them up in different areas in the room where you saw the mouse. 

Put bait on the traps, such as soft cheese, wet cat food, and peanut butter. Wait for a day and see how many traps go off. If you only have one mouse, you will quickly see this is true. If you have more than one, you will likely have more than one trap go off.
