Need A Fence And Gate? Choose A Chain Link Fence With A Swing Gate

Posted on

If you would like to put up a fence around your yard, one option you have is a chain link fence. Once you install the fence, you can install a swing gate to give you easy access in and out of the fence. The information below should help you choose the chain link fence and gate.

Chain Link Fence

You may be thinking of that dull grey color when thinking of a chain link fence. You may be surprised to know that you can now find this type of fence in different colors. Some of these colors include, brown, green, white, black, beige, and red.

When purchasing the fence, you will have the option of vinyl coated or galvanized. Galvanized fencing has a protective zinc coating that prevents it from rusting. Vinyl coated is galvanized steel fencing that is coated with vinyl. This will prevent the fence from weakening and rust. It also offers even more protection from things like exposure to the sun and rain. No matter what you choose, the fence will last approximately 15 to 20 years. You should know that vinyl coated fencing is more expensive.

Swing Gates

Once you decide on the type of chain link fencing you want, you will have to choose a gate. To give you easy entrance and exit, a swing gate opening would work well for you.

This type of gate uses hinges to swing open and closed. It is stationary on one side, and swings open and closed on the other side using hinges. You can also place these gates side by side to make a double-swing gate. With this type of fence, it is stationary on both ends and swings out in the middle.

To make a swing gate more secure, you can install a keypad. This means people entering your home would have to enter a number into the keypad for the gate to open. To keep you from having to do this, you can use a wireless liftmaster dual swing gate opener to open and close the gate. This works much like a remote to open and close a garage door.

Talk with a fencing company who can give you much more information about chain link fencing and swing gates. This will allow you to make the best informed decision on whether this type of fencing, chain link fencing,  and swinging gate is right for you.
